Preaching

Course Summary

This unit equips students to preach with conviction and clarity in a contemporary context. Students consider why preaching matters, the particular challenges of preaching to a postmodern audience, and how to build a bridge between the biblical text and today’s hearers through expository preaching. The unit gives attention to the character and formation of the preacher, preaching Christ and the Kingdom, preaching to the heart, and the practical disciplines of preparation, purpose, and partnering with the Holy Spirit.
